Work together for regional dev, PM urges S Asian nations

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday stressed the need for working together by the South Asian nations to further accelerate the economic development of the region. "The region will further get developed and prosperous if the South Asian nations work together and cooperate with each other," she said. The Prime Minister expressed the views when outgoing Sri Lankan High Commissioner WA Sarath Kumara Weragoda paid a courtesy call on her at her official residence Ganobhaban in the evening. PM's Special Assistant Mahbubul Hoque Shakil briefed reporters after the meeting, according to a news agency.
