Worker dies in road accident: 22 injured

A worker was killed and 22 other people were injured in separate road accidents in Lakshmipur district on Sunday. A worker was killed and two other people were injured around 8:30pm when a tractor, carrying firewood plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering in Bhaberhat area in Lakshmipur Sadar upazila. The deceased could not be identified. In another incident on the Lakshmipur-Dhaka highway in Zadia area, a Lakshmipur-bound bus from Feni collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at 12noon, leaving 20 passengers of both the vehicles injured. The injured were rushed to the Sadar Hospital, according to a news agency.
