Worker electrocuted in Madaripur

A construction worker died from electrocution at Sheikhpur Bazar in Shibchar upazila of Madaripur district on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Sagar Molla, 18, son of Sarwar Molla, a resident of Pashchim Banshkandi village of the upazila. Witnesses said Sagar came in a contact with a live electric wire when he was working on an engine-run boat in the area in the afternoon. Later, he was rushed to Shibchar Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctors declared him dead. Abdus Sattar Miah, officer-in-charge of Shibchar Police Station confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
