Worker killed in roof collapse in Gazipur

A construction worker was killed when the roof of a security check-post room collapsed on him in Chabagan area of Gazipur city on Tuesday. Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. Witnesses said the roof of Gazipur Deputy Commissioner residence’s security check-post room fell on the worker while he, along with one of his co-workers, was repairing the room at about 8:30am, leaving him critically injured. Later, the injured worker was rushed to Shahid Taj Uddin Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead, according to a news agency.
