Workers going abroad to get 'magnetic chip cards'

Tuesday, 16 December 2008

Workers going abroad with overseas employment will be given computer magnetic chip cards before their departure for the workplace. The magnetic chip card will provide necessary information of the worker concerned while working anywhere in the world. Director General of Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) M Abdul Malek said in the city Monday that a six-month project had been taken in this regard to make the entire migration process smooth and accountable. — BSS
