Workers vandalise Sonali jute mill

Agitated workers Thursday night in a series of attempts vandalised the Sonali Jute Mill of Khulna over distributing the weekly salary of the mill, damaging huge amount of valuables. Eyewitnesses said that the mill authorities scheduled to distribute the weekly salary Thursday and nearly 500 mill workers gathered outside the mill Friday afternoon and vandalised the mill seeing a notice that the salary will be distributed on Sunday next. The workers vandalised valuables including 50 computers, furnitures and fans of the several offices of the mill. DGM of the mill Lokman Hossain, Manager (Administration) Aminul Haq and another employee Saddam Hossain were beaten up mercilessly during the attack.
