Workshop deliberates IBCCI for development of private sector

In order to capacitate the Italy-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IBCCI), a chamber management workshop was held in the city Sunday.
The participants at the workshop were members of the IBCCI. Former DCCI president Rashed Maksud Khan was present on the occasion as the chief guest while IBCCI First Vice President Muhammad Golam Mustafa presided over the workshop.
The workshop deliberated on how to make best use of the institutional facilities and servicing of IBCCI for development of the private sector in respect of investments and businesses specially with Italy.
Maksud Khan said the chamber should play its due role to promote investments and business. Chambers have a pivotal role for the economy to develop speedily for which IBCCI should equip itself with a strong secretariat and services, he said.
Golam Mustafa in his address expressed that the IBCCl should be one of the focal points for its members to do business in Italy. And for that, the institutional frame work and different kinds of promotional services are of prime importance to the members for making best use of their efforts. He mentioned that improvement in services has been taking place to meet the growing need of the members and the economy.
The key-note paper dealt with a number of points which were essential aspects of IBCCI in particular. This included building a strong capacity in the Chamber with infrastructural facilities along with professionals.
Participants were of the opinion that the Chamber should undertake those programmes for strengthening of the chamber. Also, the professional services should stay in competition with others at the domestic and export markets.
