Workshop on Child labour held

A zonal workshop on "Child Labour" organised by Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) Zone-6 was held at Hazi Abdul Halim Community Centre recently, according to a press release. Objective of the workshop is to prevent and eliminate worst forms of child labour from urban informal economy of Dhaka city. DCC is implementing an action programme on child labour with the assistance of International Labour Organisation and recently adopted an office order for preventing hazardous child labour from the city. DCC arranged this workshop as an inception and orienting role of the DCC revenue department and Community-based Workplace Surveillance Group (CWSG) members for effective implementation of the office order at field level.
