Workshop on Human Rights begins

COX'S BAZAR, Sept 5 (UNB): A three-day workshop on "Human Rights" organised by UNDP for the officials of elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) began at a hotel Tuesday with a call to uphold the rule of law and for protecting the human rights.
Additional Inspector General of Police and Project Director of Police Reform Programmes Nabo Bikram Tripura inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest. DG of RAB Hasan Mahmud Khandaker also spoke on the occasion.
Fifteen RAB officials took part in the workshop.
Two consultants from Australia and another from Nepal were among the trainers at the workshop.
