Workshop on Paurashava info, service centres held

The Prime Minister's Office and the LGED, jointly organised an appraisal workshop on Paurashava information and service centres 'Access to Information' at LGED Bhaban in the city Thursday.
Chaired by LGED chief engineer Md Wahidur Rahman, the meeting was attended by mayors and chief executive officers of 116 Paurashavas across the country.
Speaking at the meeting, Md Wahidur Rahman said good governance should be ensured in the country and many good works have been done by virtue of Information Technology. LGED has already completed 4800 packages through e-tendering process, he said. "In future we would be able to implement all the projects including MGSP through e- tendering process," he added.
Monjur Hossain, senior secretary of Local Government Division and Kabir Bin Anwar, director general (administration), PMO, among others, were present on the occasion, said a press release.
