Workshop on production of export standard foundry materials held

BOGRA, 17: Bangladesh Quality Support Programme (BQSP) and Foundry Owners Association of Bangladesh (FOAB) jointly organised a four-day working group meeting, discussions and foundry technology workshop here recently to produce export standard foundry materials.
Consultant of International Trade Centre Azmaizam Mohammad Zain from Malaysia, National Project Coordinator of International Trade Centre Mofizur Rahman and Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Commerce Shahid Hassan visited different foundries.
They held discussions with FOAB President Ainul Hoque Sohel and Secretary General Yaqub Sattar Chowdhury.
During their discussion they tried to know the problems of foundry industries and to find out the ways as to how the foundries could make better quality products at low cost for the purpose of export.
Mofizur Rahman described the goal of BQSP component-2 as programme. ITC consultant Azmaizam Mohammad Zain discussed the prospects of foundry industries of the country in the workshop.
Leaders of foundry owners' association and owners of different foundries were present in the workshop.
