Workshop on woman entrepreneur development held in Barisal

BARISAL, June 10 (BSS): Speakers at a workshop here said the lack of technical knowledge, cash capitals and non-cooperative behaviour of the family members are the main hindrances to the social and economic progress of the womenfolk of the country.
They also said the women should be involved to the mainstream of the national development for overall economic progress of the country.
Organised by Jatiya Mahila Sangstha, the workshop on 'Development of Women Promoters for Economic Empowerment' was held on the Bangladesh Development Society premises in the city Saturday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and Development) Pronoy Kanti Biswas presided over the workshop while Women Promoters for Economic Empowerment Project
Director Rejaya Azom Khan attended it as the chief guest.
Mahila Unnayan Prokalpa Project director ATM Mashiur Rahman and Jatiya Mahila Sangstha Assistant Director Shafiqul Islam were special guests.
Nearly 55 woman entrepreneurs from six districts of the division took part in the workshop.
