World Bank Review Mission meet on PPRP-11 held

A meeting with the World Bank Review Mission on the progress of Public Procurement Reform Project (PPRP)-11 was held at the conference room of the Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) under the Ministry of Planning in the city Monday.
A nine-member WB Review Mission led by Dr Zafrul Islam, lead procurement specialist, joined the meeting chaired by Amulya Kumar Debnath, director general of the Central Procurement Technical Unit of IMED.
Procurement monitoring coordinators, members of the Technical Working Group and consultants under PPRP-11 attended the meeting that elaborately discussed various aspects of the project implementation.
The PPRP-11 has four components such as furthering policy reform and institutionalising capacity development, strengthening procurement management at sectoral level and CPTU/IMED, introducing electronic government procurement and communication and social awareness.
Officials from CPTU and four key public entities like RHD, BWDB, LGED and REB also participated in the review meeting.
