World Children's Day today

Bangladesh will celebrate World Children's Day with due fervor today (Monday) with the theme "Let's invest for children, build the future world".
Besides celebrating the World Children's Day, the country will also observe Child Rights Week 2023 from October 2-October 8, reports UNB.
President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina issued separate messages on this occassion.
On the occasion of World Children's Day and Children's Rights Week, Bangladesh Shishu Academy, UNICEF, national and international children's groups, and development organisations have arranged a variety of programmes.
There will be poetry recitations, painting competitions, wall painting, debate competitions, quiz competitions, cultural programmes, children's dialogues, sports, a tree planting programme, and round table meetings for children.
Various children's organisations also have arranged separate programmess on education, development, children's rights, and child protection.
