World Cities Summit without Bangladesh

The World Cities Summit concluded in Singapore on June 25 gathering leaders from 30 Asian cities to search for ways to improve the quality of life of city people in the face of increasing threat to economies worldwide.
Delegates included city mayors, top government officials and policy makers, senior officials from international organisations, academics and business leaders from around the world. Countries in Asia Pacific and the Middle East were well represented.
Among the countries which participated were Australia, India, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Vietnam and New Zealands. World Bank, Asian Development Bank, ESCAP, UNDP, UNEP, UN-Habitant were the strategic partners of the summit organised by MND Singapore, National University of Singapore and Civil Service College of Singapore.
Representation of Bangladesh was, however, not found in the summit.
