Department of Patents, Designs and Trademarks under the Ministry of Industries and Intellectual Property Association of Bangladesh are jointly organising programmes across the country on the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day.
The theme of this year's World Intellectual Property Day - to be observed tomorrow (Monday) globally - is 'Innovation- Linking the World'.
On the occasion, Md Mahbubur Rahman, honorary general secretary of Intellectual Property Association of Bangladesh, said establishment of proper intellectual property rights is a must in today's knowledge economy.
"IP right is the most neglected sector in Bangladesh and everybody is suffering including our economic growth," a press release quoted Mr Rahman as saying.
