World Standards Day today

The 42nd World Standards Day will be observed in the country as elsewhere across the world today (Friday), reports UNB.
The day will be observed to recognise the efforts of thousands of experts worldwide that collaborate within IEC, ISO and ITU to develop voluntary International Standards that facilitate trade, spread knowledge and disseminate technological advances.
This year's theme of the day is 'International standards - Creating confidence globally'.
The three organisations are the partners making up the World Standards Cooperation (WSC).
