World Telecom, Info Society Day observed

The World Telecommunication and Information Society Day was observed in the country on Saturday as elsewhere across the globe. The theme of this year’s day was ‘Broadband for Sustainable Development’. This year, the national important programmes marking the day were held in Khulna city. The inaugural programme was held at a local hotel where Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Abdul Latif Siddique spoke as the chief guest. A road show was brought out from Shibbari intersection of Khulna which ended at Cable Industries Ltd, according to UNB.
