World Water Day Saturday

The World Water Day will be observed in the country as elsewhere around the globe on Saturday, aiming to raise awareness to save water. This year’s theme of the Day is ‘Water and Energy’, directly related to the management of fresh water resources and its impact on health and environment. The day will be observed with due significance in Bangladesh through joint programmes by the Department of Public Health Engineering, United Nations Information Centre, United Nations Children’s Fund, The World Bank, Bangladesh WASH Alliance, Japan International Cooperation Agency, Bangladesh Center for Advanced Studies, and NGO Forum for Public Health, according to UNB.
