Writ filed with HC challenging 16th Amendment

A writ petition challenging the legality of the 16th amendment of the Charter has been filed with the High Court. Supreme Court’s lawyer advocate Md Yunus Ali Akond on Wednesday filed the petition with the HC challenging the 16th Amendment made to the Constitution giving the Jatiya Sangsad (parliament) the authority to sack Supreme Court judges, according to private TV channels.
