Writers urged to lead nation through creative works

Food and Disaster Management Minister Dr Abdur Razzak today urged the writers to lead the nation in the right direction through their creative writings, reports BSS.
Speaking at a publication ceremony of a book at the Jatiya Press Club in the city, Abdur Razzak laid stress on giving recognition to the writers, working in different professions and evaluating their contributions properly.
The minister unveiled the cover of the book titled 'Ekdin Jamunai', authored by Jibon Islam.
He said this book narrated how a professional could become successful. Creative writings could help the people become enlightened, he added.
Presided over by Rashed Khan Menon MP, the function was addressed, among others, by former president of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Abdul Awal Mintoo, journalist Ershad Majumder and publisher of the book Shahidul Islam.
