WSCL to organise financial mart

White Shark Communi-cations Ltd (WSCL) will organise a three-day event styled 'Annual Financial Mart' with seminars on functioning of banking, insurance and leasing companies as well as stock and bond markets.
"Our purpose is to bring the products and services of a maximum number of organisations under one roof, side by side the arrangement of seminars on potential issues that will encourage involvement of mass people with the financial activities," Numayr Enam, managing director of WSCL, told the FE Tuesday
He said about 100 organisations including bank, insurance, leasing company and logistics providers to the commercial houses are expected to participate in the fair to showcase their products.
"We will invite Bangladesh Bank and National Board of Revenue (NBR) to take part in the fair to make mass people understand their functioning," Numayr said.
Answering a question, he said: "We think this will be a timely effort to arrange some seminars on stock market, especially as a large number of people are investing in it with much knowledge in this regard," he said.
Numayr said the fair will be held in the first week of August next. The schedules of events including seminars will be announced through print and electronic media soon.
He said his company plans to arrange such fair every year to convey development in national and international financial sectors to the mass people.
Jalal Bin Khaleque, director of the WSCL, said registration for participation in the fair will remain open until August 15.
