W'shop on Agri Dev of persons with disabilities

A daylong workshop on Agricultural Development of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) organised by Bangladesh Protibandhi Kallyan Somity (BPKS) was held in the city Monday, says a press release.
Agriculturist Sowkat Momen Shah Jahan, chairman of the parliamentary standing Committee, Ministry of Agriculture was present as the chief guest. Agriculturist Syed Ali, director general, Directorate of Agriculture and Agriculturist Foni Bhoson Mandol were present as special guests in the workshop.
The objective of the workshop was to expedite national development by participation and inclusion of the persons with disabilities in the agriculture, fishery and livestock sectors of the country.
Abdus Sattar Dulal, founder and executive director of BPKS presided over the workshop. A total of 180 persons from different disabled people's organizations, journalists, government officials and NGO representatives participated in the workshop.
