WTB to campaign for conservation awareness among school children

Friday, 6 June 2008

Wildlife Trust of Bangladesh (WTB) in collaboration with the Dhaka Zoo will organise a daylong programme today (Friday) to create conservation awareness among school children and general public, reports UNB.

WTB Chairman Enayetullah Khan will inaugurate the programme at the Dhaka Zoo auditorium at 9.00 am with Zoo curator Aminur Rahman in the chair. The programme is designed specially for the students, who are the future builders of the country, said a WTB press release.

WTB arranged such programmes every year to observe the World Environment Day which was an opportunity to create awareness and promote actions on all environmental issues, it said.

Children will also plant Neem saplings on the Dhaka Zoo campus as a part of the programme.
