WTO DG Roberto Azevedo due Tuesday

World Trade Organisation (WTO) Director General Roberto Azevedo is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Tuesday on a two-day visit to discuss trade-related issues with government officials and private sector entrepreneurs. He will go to Kathmandu, Nepal, and meet senior government officials and private sector representatives there after completing Dhaka tour. Azevedo is expected to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed and hold a meeting with business leaders during his stay here. As a member of LDCs, Bangladesh will discuss the progresses of implementation of the LDC package, adopted in the Bali Ministerial Conference during his visit, according to a WTO media note.
