WUB celebrates 1st Convocation today

The first convocation of World University of Bangladesh (WUB) will be held at the city's Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre at 10 am today (Tuesday).
President Iajuddin Ahmed, also Chancellor of WUB, will preside over the function.
Renowned economist AH Wahiduddin Mahmud will be the Convocation Speaker while FBCCI President Annisul Huq will attend the function as the Special Guest.
WUB Vice-Chancellor Abdul Mannan Chowdhury and Board of Governors Chairperson Morsheda Chowdhury will also address the Convocation.
A total of 783 graduates and postgraduates will be conferred degrees on the occasion. Three students will get 'Chancellor's Gold Medal' for their outstanding academic results.
A cultural function will also be held in the afternoon with Shakespeare’s Othello being staged.
