WUB holds film fest to stand beside Sidr victims

World University of Bangladesh (WUB) organised a film festival Sunday on the university premises to stand beside the recent cyclone 'Sidr'-hit people in the southern part of the country.
Vice Chancellor (VC) of the university Prof Dr Abdul Mannan Chowdhury inaugurated the programme as the chief guest.
The WUB VC, in his inaugural speech, said: "We want to dedicate our lives for the noble cause of humanity."
The university also wants to hit the headline everyday doing good deeds, he added.
A good number of films were shown in the festival. The proceeds of the programme were sent to the affected areas for the victims' help.
The university authority has also decided to donate one day's salary of the officers, teachers and staff.
