Students, teachers and staff of the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) organised a rally and joined hands to make a human chain in front of its Dhanmondi campus Wednesday to protest against the death of a bright student of BBA course who was fatally injured by a bus in Dhaka and later succumbed to his injuries at LabAid Hospital.
Yeasin Arafat, a student of the 13th batch, hailed from Chandpur. His body was taken home for burial.
The university authorities conveyed their condolences to the parents of Yeasin and is going to hold a condolence meeting; and hold a Doa Mehfil on Saturday next at 10.00 am for the salvation of the departed soul.
The grief-stricken students, teachers and staff demanded safe road and reduction in recurrences of such deaths.
