Yarn, Fabrics show begins

The 10th Yarn, Fabrics and Accessories show, a focused sourcing event, began at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the city on Wednesday.
Organised by ASK Trade and Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd, the event is featuring over 150 international suppliers showcasing a diverse range of yarns, fabrics, accessories, cutting-edge innovations, chemicals, and screen printing machinery, says a statement.
The show will continue until December 14.
Anwar Hossain, Administrator of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), was present at the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest, and Shah Mohammad Mahboob, Executive Member of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), as a special guest.
The show, targeted at the buying offices, buying agents and rmg exporters, knit composite units, label manufacturers, importers, and merchandisers, gives an opportunity to your members looking to source new collections and identify new suppliers.
Speaking on the occasion, Anwar Hossain said, "The garment sector is the backbone of our economy, contributing nearly 80 per cent of the country's export earnings and consistently improving the living standards of millions."
The four-day event is open daily from 11:00am and 7:00pm for business visitors only.
