Thursday, 20 August 2009

State Minister for Science and Information Commu-nication Technology (ICT) Architect Yeafesh Osman Wednesday expressed his optimism that Bangabandhu's dream of turning the country into `Sonar Bangla' will be materialised through building a digital Bangladesh, reports BSS.
He was addressing as the chief guest at a discussion marking the mourning month of August at the auditorium of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) in the city.
Yeafesh said Bangabandhu was the pioneer in the great struggle for the emergence of an independent and sovereign Bangladesh and founder of a new nation.
He called for realising the dreams of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for establishing Sonar Bangla.
"Bangabandhu will remain alive in the hearts of the people of Bangladesh as long as it will exist as an independent and sovereign state," he said.
Bangabandhu, who won hearts of the common people for his outstanding personality, acumen and farsightedness, knew that the Bangali nation would eventually achieve its desired goal, Yeafesh said.
He expressed his optimism that the country's people would engage themselves in techno-based endeavours to help the government build a digital Bangladesh as pledged by the Prime Minister.
BAEC Chairman M Mosharraf Hossain attended the function as the special guest while Chief Engineer of BAEC AKM Fazlul Hoque chaired the discussion.
