Yemeni devotee dies at Ijtema

A Yemeni citizen, attending the Biswa Ijtema, has died of heart failure. Doctors and devotees identified the deceased as Ahmed Abu Abduh Jorun, 70, from Yemen, a Middle Eastern country located in the east of Saudi Arabia. Gazipur’s Civil Surgeon Shah Alam Sharif said Yemen’s Ahmed Abu Abduh Jorun was the last to die in the first phase of Ijtema which began with sermon on the bank of Turag River in Tongi, Gazipur, following Fazr prayers on Friday. Doctors said Jorun had complained of chest pain before collapsing around 10am on Saturday. “He passed away before he could be taken to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital,” Civil Surgeon Shah Alam Sharif said, according to bdnews24.com.
