HELPING fellow classmates in their studies is very important for one to improve in one's own studies. By assisting classmates or students of the same year one can gain a lot. Such a habit always will give one much as return.
By helping others, you will actually ensure your own practice of the subjects. While explaining certain theorem to one or some of your classmates you might find that you yourself are not very clear about one or two steps. You can quickly consult the book and can get clear concept and can sit with your classmates again to explain the theorem for the second time.
Once you decide to help others in their studies, you need to complete your studies beforehand. For completing your studies beforehand, you need to ensure maximum utilisation of your time. Spend as less time as possible in adda, do not spoil your valuable time in unnecessary Internet browsing or in surfing television channels. Diagnose all the activities in which you have been wasting your time and which are distracting you from studies. Try your best to avoid those tasks.
Besides this, conduct an audit to know which personal tasks are taking too much of your time. May be you spend too much time in ironing your clothes-try to reduce the time. Also, if you make a realistic daily routine for yourself, and try to follow it strictly, you are sure to improve in studies and you will see that you are completing your studies beforehand. Such a habit will make your task of helping others easy.
You may have a good planning for who to help for what. You may have a chart prepared in your diary which classmates to help for what subject. You may be in regular touch with these students and can tell them frankly about your willingness to help them. Let them feel free to come to you to understand any problem. Explain them step by step and in a very logical manner. If necessary explain them again and again and may be from different perspective or different method.
This is law of natural return that when you give others, you will get back positive results quite naturally. The more you will help others in their studies the better you will perform in the class and the exams. There is nothing to lose for you.
