Young graduates offer poison-free vegetables

Friday, 19 December 2014

When consumers are tired of having adulterated foodstuff alongside price manipulation, some educated youths have come up with an idea to supply poison-free fresh vegetables, ensuring fair prices for both the farmers and consumers.
In an effort to establish an alternative market system, the youths, led by Delowar Jahan, opened a market in the city’s Lalmatia area in which they sell fresh, safe vegetables and fruits every Friday. “We’ve a goal and that’s very much related to establishing a system ensuring fair prices for farmers and consumers,” Delowar told UNB on Friday.
