Young man murdered in Sylhet

Unidentified miscreants have killed a young man and dumped his body near a field at Nandishree village under Jakiganj upazila in Sylhet. The victim is Sujat Ahmad, 31, son of late Rais Ali, a resident of the village. Yunus Miah, officer-in-charge of Jakiganj Police Station, said informed by local people, police rushed to the village and recovered the body on Thursday evening. The police also sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Jahanara Begum, wife of the victim, claimed that Sujat had gone out of the house for cutting grass in a nearby field on Thursday morning. Later he was called by an unidentified man and left the field. His body was found in the village in the afternoon. Earlier, two days back, a young man of the village had issued a threat to Sujat over irrigating cropland. Jahanara and his relatives suspected that the young man might have killed Sujat. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
