Young man slaughtered in Satkhira

Unknown miscreants slaughtered a young man and dumped his body in a jute field at Satkhira Sadar upazila at some times between Saturday night and early Sunday. Family sources and local people said Alamgir Hossain had remained missing since Saturday night after he went out of their house in Kushkhali village to say tarabi prayers at a local mosque. Abu Raihan, chairman of Kushkhali union, said Alamgir went missing on Saturday night after he went out of his house for tarabi prayers. Locals spotted his slaughtered body lying in the field around 10:00am on Sunday and informed police who rushed in and recovered the body from the spot. The reason behind the murder could not be known, added the OC, according to a news agency.
