Youngone introduces production incentive schemes

Youngone, the country's largest multi-national company in the ready-made garment sector (RMG) operating from Dhaka and Chittagong Export Processing Zones, has asked its workers not to be misguided by any quarters for the withdrawal of temporary rice allowance by its management.
In a statement Saturday, it said that the Youngone chairman gave temporary special allowance of Tk 500 monthly per worker from January 2008 to mitigate hardship of the workers when the price of rice went up.
To support the workers, Youngone, a fully compliant factory, has already made alternative arrangements and introduced the Production Incentive Schemes from Saturday, April 18 so that the workers may make extra earning instead of receiving allowance.
