Yousuf joins BARI as Director General

Md Yousuf Mian joined as Director General (current charge) of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) recently, says a press release.
Yousuf Mian got first class in his B.Sc.Ag (Hons) degree in 1973 from Bangladesh Agricultural University(BAU), Mymensingh. He obtained his MS degree with distinction from the University of Philippines at Los Banos (UPLB), Philippines in 1982.
He joined BARI as a Scientific Officer in 1976. Later, he served the Institute in different capacities and positions. He was Director Research (CC) and Director (T&C) of BARI before joining as Director General.
Yousuf, who hails from Narshingdi district, participated in many international seminars, conference and workshops in different countries. He is associated with many scientific and professional societies at home and abroad.
