Youth arrested for allegedly violating minor girl

Police arrested a youth for allegedly violating a minor girl at West Khabashpur in Faridpur town on Tuesday afternoon.
The arrestee was identified as Jewel, a resident of Poradia Village in Nagarkanda upazila.
Maternal uncle of the victim said the girl was admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital following a throat problem, a UNB report said.
On Monday afternoon, a nurse of the hospital took the girl to her house, near to the hospital, for taking a bath.
At that time, Jewel, brother of the nurse, raped the girl, leaving her unconscious.
Later, when the girl regained her sense, she informed the matter to her family members.
Officer-in-charge of Kotoali Police Station Najim Uddin Ahmed confirmed the incident saying they visited the spot after the incident.
