A Bangladeshi young man was allegedly beaten to death by Border Security Force of India (BSF) personnel near Kolumdanga border in Sapahar upazila of Naogaon district early Thursday. The deceased identified as Kabir Hossain, 30, son of Saiful Islam, a resident of the area, was a cattle trader. Lt Col Rafiqul Islam, commanding officer of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Battalion-14, said Kabir had gone missing on Tuesday while a group of cattle traders along with Kabir was returning from India. His associate cattle traders said Kabir was detained by BSF members of Adadanga camp. Two days after his going missing, locals spotted the body of a young man floating in a water body in the area inside Indian border around 5.00am.
