Youth beaten dead in Magura

A young man was beaten to death allegedly by his rivals at Mohammadpur upazila in Magura district on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Mohon Mollah, 30, son of Sadek Hossain Mollah of Piadapara village. Quoting locals, police said Mohon did not return home since some identified youths picked him up from road blaming him for theft on Thursday. Locals found the hanging body of Mohon in the kitchen of a house at Piadapara village and informed police who sent the body to Sadar Hospital for autopsy after recovery. Victim’s father Sadek Hossain alleged that his rivals beat his son to death over previous enmity and hanged the body to hide the real incident, according to UNB.
