Youth crushed under train

A young man was crushed to death by a train in Matihar area in Rajshahi city on Monday evening. The deceased was identified as Jalal Uddin, 32, son of Harun-or-Rashid, a resident of Mohonpur Purbapara area in the city. Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Government Railway Police (GRP) station, Rajshahi, said the Dhaka-bound train ‘Silk City Express’ hit Jalal when he was passing Mohonpur level crossing, leaving him dead on the spot. Later, the railway police recovered the body and sent it to Rajshahi Sadar Hospital for autopsy. An unnatural death case was filed, according to UNB.
