Youth dies after falling under train in Lalmonirhat

A youth met the tragic end of his life after being crushed under the wheels of a running train in Patgram Rail Station under Patgram upazila in Lalmonirhat on Monday. The deceased was identified as Jahangir Alam Babu, 22, son of Shahidar Rahman of village Hazarani in Tushbhandar union under Kaliganj upazila in Lalmonirhat district. According to Lalmonirhat Government Railway Police (GRP) Thana sources, the tragic incident occurred after the victim fell down under the running Patgram bound Kartoa Express Train from Parbatipur at around 10-30 pm. The victim who was sitting at the roof suddenly fell down and was crushed under wheels of the running train that was entering Patgram Railway Station. Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it for autopsy at Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital morgue, according to a news agency.
