Youth festival 2010 held at NSU

Eighteen students’ clubs of North South University (NSU) organised the annual gala festival, Club Carnival-2010, on the university campus Saturday, said a press release.
Azim Uddin Ahmed, chairman of NSU Foundation, inaugurated the festival. Vice-chancellor of the university Hafiz GA Siddiqi, Pro-VC SAM Khairul Bashar, Dean Abul L Haque, Dr Golam Mohammad and GU Ahsan, chairman of Public Health, were also present in the function.
After the inauguration, they moved around the stalls and admired the encouraging activities of the young club members participating in the carnival.
In the festival a total number of 38 stalls were organised by the students.
The day-long festival included a colourful rally participated by club members, BOG chairman, VC, Pro-VC, faculty members, officials and the students wearing masks with the sounds of 'dhak-dhol' and enchanting dances by NSU students.
The other attractions of the festival included fashion show, exciting eating competition, laser show, a drama by Drama and Cine Club, and band music by NSU band and Art Cell band.
