Youth held with firearms, ammo in Rajshahi

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel arrested a young man with pistols and ammunition, and a private car in Puthiya Upazila in Rajshahi on Friday night. The arrestee was identified as Harunur Rashid, 23, son of Bachhu Sarker of Nataiparea area in Sadar Upazila of Bogra district. Being tipped off, a RAB team conducted a drive in Baneshwar area on Rajshahi-Dhaka Highway. They stopped a Bogra-bound private car around 9.30pm and seized two pistols, four magazines and eight rounds of bullets after searching the vehicle. They arrested Harun who was driving the car, according to a news agency.
