Youth jailed for harassing madrasa girl in Boalmari

FARIDPUR, Apr 5 (BSS): A mobile court Monday sentenced a youth to three years' rigorous imprisonment for harassing a madrasa girl in Boalmari Upazila of Faridpur district.
Court sources said the convict was identified as Humayun Mredha (22), son of Shahadat Mredha of Baikhir village in the upazila.
According to the sources, Humayun Mredha used to sexually harass the girl on her way to the madrasa. Saturday night, Humayun Mredha took an attempt to harass the girl again. The victim submitted a complaint in this connection with the executive magistrate.
The court after hearing the case awarded the punishment.
