Youth jailed for sexual harassment in Rajshahi

A mobile court in Rajshahi has sentenced a young man to six months’ imprisonment for teasing a schoolgirl sexually in Godagari upazila of the district. The arrestee was identified as Jony Ahmed, 18, son of Ismael Hossain, a resident of Dariapur area of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila. Police, quoting locals, said Jony used to tease the female student of Sultanganj High School, on her way to and from school every day.
On Monday morning, local people caught Jony as he passed some indecent comments the girl in front of her school. Later, a mobile court led by executive magistrate Khalid Hossain pronounced the verdict on Monday, according to a news agency.
