Youth killed by muggers in Gazipur

GAZIPUR, June 14 (UNB): A young man was hacked to death by some muggers in Tongi Station Road area on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Rinku, son of Abdul Quaiyum of Gopalpur in Tongi.
Police sources said a gang of muggers intercepted Rinku while he was returning to his home from his workplace around 10pm. At one stage when the muggers tried to snatch away Rinku's belongings, he resisted them. Being resisted, the muggers stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.
Hearing cry for help, locals rushed in and caught a mugger named Alamin and handed him over to police.
