Youth killed in city \\\'shootout\\\'

An unidentified youth was killed in a 'shootout' with members of the Detective Branch (DB) of police in the city's Mugdapara area on Sunday morning. Sources at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) said sub-inspector Abzal of Mugdapara Police Station took the bullet-hit body of the youth to the hospital around 11:00am. The SI claimed that the youth was killed in a gunfight between members of DB police and some miscreants in Balurmath in the early morning. —Agencies
