Youth killed in Jessore

JESSORE, July 26: A youth was stabbed to death by some miscreants at Nilgonj on the outskirts of the town early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as M Shohagh (22), son of Kausar Ali of Nilgonj.
Police and locals said a group of miscreants abducted Shohagh from his residence at around 12 midnight and took him to a nearby hidden place near Jessore Rifles School. The police recovered the youth in an unconscious state and took him to the Jessore General Hospital. He died there at around 2pm Sunday.
Claiming the dead as an activist of the youth front of the ruling party, the Awami Juba League brought out a procession in the town and demanded exemplary punishment to the killers.
The processionists also ransacked a number of business outlets at Nilgonj.
