Youth picked up by BSF from Thakurgaon border

A Bangladeshi young man was picked up allegedly by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel from near Molani border point in Haripur upazila in Thakurgaon on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Tofazzal Hossain, 30, son of Bazlur Rahman of Bograbari village. Sources at Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and locals said Tofazzal was picked up by the troops of BSF 121 battalion of Shreepur camp after he crossed into the Indian territory near Pillar No 371 of the border in the morning. Commanding officer of Thakurgaon 30 BGB Battalion Lt. Col Kamal Ahmed confirmed the incident and said that a letter was sent to BSF for holding flag meeting to return the victim, according to UNB.
